COCOA-NUT

Street Restaurant
Thai cuisine is known for being spicy. Thai food is known for its balance of the five fundamental taste senses in each dish or the overall meal: hot (spicy), sour, sweet, salty, and (optional) bitter . Cocoa-nut is a street restaurant on Bangla Road (Phuket) . It was bright , colorful , clean , and the most important part was Service . Service was Zuper .

Though there was very less time to explore restaurants in Phuket since all our day packages were booked along with complementary Lunch . However , I was left with only Dinner to serve my apetite  to explore .

After completing our City Tour , which was very well organised we came out for Dinner . I wanted to eat Vegetarian that day and hence arrived at COCOA-NUT .

Fied Rice With Chilli Sauce

HOW TO REACH THERE : The restaurant is on Bangla Road , which is the most happening place of Phuket .
We came out of resort "Deewaana Patong Resort" and walked about 200 m . The street restaurants spans for about 2 km . One among them was COCOA-NUT .

HOW MUCH WOULD IT COST - Street restaurants are quite fairly priced . They are not at all costly .
I think our first day Dinner would have come around 175 -200 baht for both of us .Being hygiene conscious We took only 2 vegetarian dishes the first day .

1) Fried Rice with Chilli Sauce - 59 baht
2) Stir Fried Morning Gloride (which mean Rice Covered with Vegetables) - 100 baht
3) Coke

Stir Fried Morning Gloride
Rest of the days we took a variety of dishes , but I forgot the cost factor for the same .

HOW ABOUT THE OVERALL EXPERIENCE :-

I am a big Foodie . I and my wife liked most of the Thai Food we had during our stay :-
First day Dinner was chosen very carefully .We didnot wanted to be disappointed with the Thai Food and Hence I tried ordering those dishes , which has very less margin of Going Wrong . In that sense I fully met my Expectations .Chili Sauce, which we got with the Fried Rice  was awesome .
Even the other Dish - Stir Fried Morning Gloride was very nice .

Second Day Dinner was quite experimental :-
We first had a look on all sort of Sea Food available and then we finalized
Chicken Soup - which was good in taste and Jumbo in Quantity .
Barbecued  Tiger Prawns  - which I must say were awesome

Shells Curry - We were suppose to take out the Worms from the shells and Eat them .I found the dish interesting but quite average . However my wife found it tasty .

Third Day Dinner was also quite interesting -
We had stuffed our stomachs in our resort ,in the evening after returning form James Bond Island . When we went for some shopping at night , our stomachs were tight . While returning we felt little space in our stomach .To our surprise , after buying some beverages we found "Make Your Own Burger" in the General Food Store. They have kept 1 Chicken Salami and Unlimited Veggies for the same .We packed 2 Burgers and came to our Resort .

RATE THE RESTAURANT OUT OF 10 in Food : 7.5
RATE THE RESTAURANT OUT OF 10 in Ambience : 2
RATE THE RESTAURANT OUT OF 10 in Overall Experience : 7
