Roles United is a "Multicuisine Multinational" Restaurant .Though a Lot of Blogs and sites refer this as a Russian Restaurant , but the Menu doesnot speak so .It has a lot variety from different countries .

HOW TO REACH THERE : If you are coming from NGV and standing on Sony World Signal.

Cross the Sony World signal , and move straight . You will find a Signal just after Tanishq , Cross that signal as well .Now you will reach another signal just after Naturals Ice-creams , Take a left from that signal .Just go ahead for another 700 mtr. you will find the Restaurant "Rolls United" on the right hand side .

HOW MUCH WOULD IT COST : Around Rs. 250 per Head , if you are having 3-course .

Apart from thier normal Roll Dishes , they have started Lunch Thali as well .Veg : Rs. 99 , Non- Veg : Rs. 111 .

HOW ABOUT THE AMBIENCE : The ambience was Average.Chairs arrangement is very good .

HOW ABOUT THE DINING EXPERIENCE : 

DRINKS : I had "Green Lady" priced at "Rs. 75" .The Drink was very nice .

FOOD : I liked the continental Food they Offered . The Dish Pictures are arranged in the ascending order in conjunction with the below list . 

1) Ravioli Roma was priced "Rs. 115" . This was the best of the Lot .

It is an ancient Roman Dish , which is served with tasty Sauce .

2) Enchilada Mexico was priced "Rs. 115" . This was also good .

Is is Mexican Vegetable Roll , served with spanish Salad and Tortilla .

3) Luxemburg Lettuc priced at "Rs. 115" . This was also a good dish .

Is is a  coriander Roll of "Mushroom - spinach- lettuce Stuffing" .

This was served with Fries and Salad .

4) Canneloni Torino Priced at "Rs. 142" . This was also a good dish .

DESERT : I had "Fruitella" after Dinner , which is priced at "Rs. 65 " .

I think , this was the only bad dish of the restaurant.It is a Pancake stuffed with 

Fruits and Chocolate Syrup .

HOW ABOUT THE OVERALL EXPERIENCE :

The overal experience was pretty much satisfying . The waiters had a good knowledge of 

the "Preperation of Dishes".The only bad part is , you have to wait a lot for the Order , 

but this factor is overuled by good taste .If you are going for the first time , donot 

expect all rolls to be like "Stuffed Spicy material in one chapati kind of  thing" . Take 

a chance and relish the dishes.

Aranya Restaurant

Aranya - Remnants of daylight cascade through the dense forest cover in defiance before darkness reigns again .

HOW TO REACH THERE : There are 2 branches of this restaurant :-
1) Teachers Colony : If you are coming from Silk Board towards sarjapur .This would fall on your left hand side on the Service Road , after around 2 km .

HOW MUCH WOULD IT COST : Around Rs. 225 per head
Food is priced well .Veg curries ranges from Rs 80 - Rs. 130 Per Plate.
Non - Veg Curries ranges from Rs. 135 to rs. 175 Per Plate .
Drinks are also fairly priced .You can very well plan for a booze party here .
You may take a look at the Menu , before planning .
Last time we went in a group of 8 , we ordered only main course and 3 butter milk , this costed us Rs. 1319 .

HOW ABOUT THE AMBIENCE : The ambience is good in the Teachers Colony branch . The tables are very well placed in the second hall . I would recommend that people coming in families should opt for dining in the secong hall .They have even placed some rides inside the hall for very small kids . You can expect crowd of all kind .

HOW ABOUT THE DINING EXPERIENCE :
DRINKS : Drinks are fairly priced . Pint beer is around Rs. 75 .
We also ordered Butter Milk priced "Rs. 45" - This was good .

FOOD : Coming to the most important part Food . First time , I went with my wife I ordered :-1) Non-Veg starter "Tandoori Chicken" - which was good .
2) Paneer Butter Masala - which was Average .
This time the experience was little different , We ordered :-
1) Aranya Special Curry priced "Rs. 150" - It turned down our expectaion . I would rate it just Average.
2) Mushroom Mattar priced "Rs. 130" - was also average in terms of taste value .
3) Dum Kashmiri Aloo priced "Rs 130" - came by surprise to us . It was "JUST PATHETIC".
BREADS : We ordered 4 types of breads :-
1) Kulcha Onion butter priced "Rs. 30 " - was not that great to be rated "good" but yes definitely "Above Average" .
2) Tandoori Roti priced "Rs. 18" - Average
3) Makai Roti priced "Rs. 25 "- Average
4) Missi Roti priced "Rs. 25" - Average

HOW ABOUT THE OVERALL EXPERIENCE : The overall experience was below average .
The location of the reaturant is bad , not in terms of reach but definitely in terms of surroundings . It is just adjacent to a low grade Wine shop which is always flaunted by Cheap Crowd . It is ideal place for giving "All boyz booze parties" since drinks are fairly priced and starters are good . This is what guys exactly want . Ambience is good .It generally remains too much crowded at night , so either make a booking in Advance or prepare to wait for some 10 minutes or so .

Pizzeria Romano

Pizzeria Romano, Koramangala"The trouble with eating Italian food is that 5 or 6 days later you're hungry again."It also offers Lebanese and Mexican too .

HOW TO REACH THERE : IN case you are coming from Sony World signal towards NGV , take the left from the redlight after Mast Kalander,This road is 80ft Road .Come 500 meters and take a left at the point where park is starting .Come another 500 meters down , you will find the Restaurant on the Left Hand Side . It is on the First Floor . If you know krishna Cafe (Kormangala), Titan Eye(Kormangala) ,Oye Amritsar (Kormangala) , G.k Vale (kormangala).Then I must tell you that , this restaurant is also on the same road .

HOW MUCH DOES IT COSTS : The prices are slightly more than Pizza Hut .But if I compare the Ambience and food it is fairly priced .

HOW ABOUT THE AMBIENCE : The ambience of the Restaurant is above average .The walls are well coloured , full of paintings of Italian Stars .Bar is nice .

HOW ABOUT THE FOOD :

DRINKS : Hard Drinks are Costly . The wines are rated at rs. 2100 The Mocktails were Damn Good .I ordered :-

(a) Peach Tea "Ice Tea(Lemon/Peach St)"- It was little sour but quite descent in taste .

It costed us Rs. 75

(b) Margarita Mocktail "Virgin Pinacolada / Mar"- I could rate it as one of the best Mocktails , I have ever tasted .

It Costed us Rs. 90 .

FOOD : Food is very Tasty . I ordered :-

1. Pasta "Al Fungi"- The Taste was supperb . Best Pasta ever eaten up till now .The quantity was good for 2 people .

It costed us Rs. 225 .

2. Sizzler "Chicken Saltinbocca wit"- It tasted above average to me .The quantity was OK .

It costed us Rs. 285

3. Pizza "Barbeque Chicken 12"- They are available in 3 sizes . 7 Inches , 10 inches and 12 inches .We ordered 12 inches pizza , which was enough for 2 people .

It costed us Rs.355 .

HOW ABOUT THE OVERALL EXPERIENCE : The overall experience was very much satisfying .I would say that food and drinks are extraordinally tasty .The ambience was good and above all the service was extraordinary .Mr. Sanjay the Waiter was very well behaved and fast .When you present something with a smile , it always takes the edge .

We were due for Birthday Parties since 2 months .So on 03 Nov 2009 we headed for Samarkand - The Land Of Rugged People .It offers North West Frontier Express Cuisine .Apart from Bangalore the Restaurant has its presence in Turkmenistan , Uzbekistan , Kazakhstan , Tajikistan and Xingjiang .

While coming from Trinity Circle on M G Road towards Anil Kumble circle , take the right from the Redlight of (Brigade Road<>MG Road) Crossing .Then take first left from the Redlight.Then Take the right turn .On the left hand side , towards the end of the road one big complex will come on the left hand side . Take the left turn adjacent to it.Then continue uptill the crossing and turn left on the road towards the Bowring Hospital and then ask for the Gem Plaza.Samarkand resides inside the Gem Plaza .


HOW MUCH WOULD IT COST : I think this is the most expensive restaurant in my List Of Restaurants up till now .You may Look at the Menu .

HOW ABOUT THE AMBIENCE :The Ambience is OK . It has very well placed tables , but somewhat conjusted .The main attraction are the Painting on the Walls .The bar section is seperated by good ambience . It has 2 different sitting area .One offers country side Ambience where you can dine too and other looks like a mordern day pub .

HOW IS THE FOOD :We started with the MAIN COURSE, since we reached too late at the restaurant .We ordered :-

1. Murg Peshawari . This chicken preperation is rich in spices with brown gravy , roasted garlic and fresh red chilies .The quanity was average .I did not like the dish .

The dish costed us Rs. 335

2. Lagan Ka Murg - This has a yogurt based white gravy with cinnamon , Cardamom and Cloves .This is also boneless preperation.I didnot liked the dish .

This dish costed us Rs. 345

3. Palak Paneer - which is good and sumptuos .Quantity is average .

This dish costed us Rs. 230

4. Dal Afgani - This is kind of Dal Makhni ( Black Lentils ).The quantity of Dal Makhni is good .Dal was good .

This costed us Rs. 215

BREADS : We ordered three different types od breads :-

1. Khameere Ki Roti(Afgani Roti) : Rs. 45 / Roti

2. Tandoori Roti : Rs. 50 / Roti

3. Roomali Roti : Rs. 50/Roti

HOW IS THE OVERALL EXPERIENCE :The location pissed me off initially because it is in the Shivaji Nagar , near to commercial Street .Though Vegetarian was good . But the Non-Vegetarian Dishes disappointed me .Most of the people were foriegners there, probably the "Incredible India" tourists .It seemed to me that the all the dishes were according to the Foriegner's taste . All were low in Spicy factor .I donot liked the ambience too . Some part of the restaurant was good with beautiful paintings while other tables lacked that touch . Bar is Good .The majour factor is the cost of the Dishes . If we are paying good , we need the ambience also to be of that level .

Punjabi Rasoi - Punjabi By Nature

I think this is the Best Restaurant in Bangalore , if your tongue is really Punjabi By Nature .The restaurant offers authentic Spicy Punjabi Dishes .In my recent memories , I didnot had any bad experiences about any of its dishes .When I was living in Indiranagar, it was my favourite restaurant .Now after coming to HSR Layout . The association with this restaurant has become special .I would like to share my experiences Of the HSR Layout Branch , where I recently visited .

HOW TO REACH THERE : If you are coming from Silk board towards Sarjahpur (on the extension of outer Ring Road) . Take right from the first big Red light , known as HSR Signal.You will get a big BDA complex of HSR Layout on the right hand side .Move ahead 20 steps , you will reach a crossing .Again Move ahead 5 steps , you will get a left turn opposite to McDonalds . Take left on that turn . As soon as you take left , you will get to see the Punjabi Rasoi .

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST : If I Compare its ambience+quality+taste and the rates , I think its NOT AT ALL COSTLY .The Menu , it offers is truly justified against the rates .

HOW ABOUT THE AMBIENCE : Ambience is Ok. They have some tables arranged outside and some inside .I would recommend that , if you get a chance to sit outside , you should not miss that chance .If a group of 7 or more is there , you may sit in the balcony besides the Big Aquarium .

HOW IS THE FOOD : I generally come here after taking Apetizers in my home , since it is very near to my home .I normally start from Main Course . This time around we ordered :-

1. Murg(Chicken) Punjabi - which has a nice spicy , tomato based gravy with 6 barbequed chicken pieces .

If you have taken Apetizers and starters prior to the main course .The Quantity is Ok and enough for 2 people .

The Dish Costed us Rs.200 .

2. BREADS :I took Wheat Tandoori Roti This costed us rs. 10 / Roti .

WHAT YOU SHOULD NOT MISS :Dal Makhni , Pudhina Chicken and kadhai Paneer for people with really spicy tounges .

HOW IS THE OVERALL EXPERIENCE : The Overall experience is very satisfying whenever i visited this restaurant .Generally , i rate the restaurants keeping in mind their rates and Menu .The service is little slow here , but the service factor gets fade behind the Food .

GUFA- Colossal Cave Dining Adventure

If there hadn't been women we'd still be squatting in a cave eating raw meat, because we made civilization in order to impress our girlfriends .

I felt the above thought might be true , and went to the Restaurant Gufa to Inspire myself , on my wife's 25th Birthday . This offers North Indian, Peshawari and Afghani on the Top Floor of the President Hotel , Jayanagar .

HOW MUCH WOULD IT COST : I think its a costly Restaurant . 1 round of wine , 1 starter and 1 main course costed around Rs.1200 .

HOW ABOUT THE AMBIENCE : Best Ambience ever experienced .The Restaurant is in the form of a Cave .If you are a Nature lover , then It will add to your mood .The AC was chilling and the fountain next to our chair was making the experience more realistic .

HOW ABOUT THE SERVICE : Service is OK . I liked the fact that they treated us very respectfully and with very nice gesture .But somehow the starters came very Late , after the drinks .I expected it to come with the drinks .Rest was good .One of the staff members , came personally to take the feedback after the billing.

HOW ABOUT THE DINING EXPERIENCE : -
DRINKS : Drinks are costly . I ordered two wine based Cocktails :- 1. Ritz Hitz - White Wine + Orange Juice + Blend of Flavour - Rs . 250 (I liked it the green coloured drink , topped with the Orange slice ) 2. Mimosa - White Wine + Orange Juice - Rs. 250

STARTERS : I ordered 1 Plate Ruzwali Kebab which were Damn Tasty . It had 6 pieces of Fabulous Tandoori Murg (chicken) .Pieces were little bigger than average size of chicken Tikka . It costed around 195 .

MAIN COURSE : By the time main course started , we felt like half stuffed .We ordered Murg Patiala . The murg pieces were stuffed in the sheath of egg . Personally , I donot like egg dishes ,but this one was good .Egg lovers can surely go for it, others avoid .It costed us -Rs. 225
BREADS : We ordered Noni Rotis which costed -Rs. 70/each .This is a special roti with Khameera , probably the bread of North West Frontier provinces.
Tandoori Rotis costed us - Rs. 40/each .

I would say the overall experience was great . I went with a mood to dine in a different ambience .Along with the ambience , the food was also good .Yes............. , you can surely take your girlfriends , wives for a surprise dinner with dim lights .No candle lights ...............

RAJDHANI - Rajasthani By Nature

Though I wanted to start my blog with Punjabi Restaurant , as I am Punjabi By Nature .But I can't resist writing about Rajdhani .This is a Great Restaurant in the Forum Value Mall in whitefield .

HOW TO GET THERE : If you are coming from old airport road towards white field .Cross the Marathalli Redlight and Kundanhalli Redlight . Keep Staright till you get a T-Point .Take Left , move another 300 m , you will have Forum Value Mall . It has a seperate space in the Food Court of the Forum Value Mall , whitefield.



HOW MUCH WOULD IT COST : It just costs Rs. 199/Thali . It has only Thali in its offerings .No Alacart . There is a different Menu Each Day .I went on Tuesday with my Team Mates for Lunch .Its Worth it ,trust me .

HOW ABOUT THE AMBIENCE : Ambiemce is ok , not that great . Since it is in the Food Court . It has glass walls , with a bright yellow Coloured Wall .

HOW ABOUT THE SERVICE : Service is class . I must say ,after my marraige this a place where I felt like a bridegroom having dinner on my wedding Day .As Soon as our group settled down , they came with a Royal Bowl and Jug to wash our hands .Then they serveds us with all kinds of dishes . In total i think there were 22 varities .Check It out below and compare it with the Menu .

HOW ABOUT THE FOOD : Food is superb , atleast the North Indians would find it GREAT in Bangalore .Apart from Baingan Bhartha which was OK and Kadi which was without Pakoda .Rest Everything was super .

WHAT YOU SHOULD NOT MISS : Shach(butter milk) ,In between they give 1 Bajra Roti+Makhan+Gud ,Custard ,Moong Rasagulla,Gulab Jamun for sweet bees .


This is how we started and winded Off .You don't have to get up , once you have taken your seat .The waiter keeps insisting you to take chappati's , as if you have gone to the In-laws place for Dinner .
